Samsung could bring a big Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra Display Upgrade with its next foldable phone. A new leak says the phone may have an anti-reflective coating on its main foldable screen. Earlier reports also said the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra could have a brighter display and a fold crease that is harder to notice. If the new leak is correct, Samsung will add another useful display improvement for people who use their phones outdoors.
Better Viewing and a Smaller Camera Cutout
Samsung first introduced its anti-reflective display technology with the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Many users liked it because it helped reduce screen glare. Now, Samsung may bring the same feature to its premium foldable phone for the first time.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra will also come with a reduced-sized hole-punch camera. This means that the camera will be barely noticeable when viewing videos or while using applications. But then again, it remains to be seen how the reduced cut-out will affect the selfie camera’s performance.
Anticipated Screen and Hardware
As per previous reports, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra could come with a 6.5-inch screen and an 8-inch foldable display. Both screens are expected to use Dynamic AMOLED 2X technology with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. This can provide a smoother experience for gaming and scrolling. The foldable display may also reach a peak brightness of up to 3,600 nits for better visibility in daylight. Similar progress in foldable screen technology can also be seen with Samsung OLED Production for Apple Foldable iPhone, showing the growing demand for foldable OLED displays.

It is also expected that the device will be using the Qualcomm latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor. As per the report, it will have 12GB of RAM and 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB options for storage. It will come with a 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired and 15W wireless charging, while other foldable phones like the OPPO Find N7 6500mAh Battery are also focusing on larger battery capacities.
Camera Configuration and Launch
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra will have a better camera configuration as Samsung might equip the phone with a 200MP primary camera equipped with optical image stabilization (OIS), 50MP ultrawide camera, 10MP telephoto camera that features 3x optical zoom, and two 10MP selfies camera.
The company might unveil the new Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra during its Galaxy Unpacked event. During the event, Samsung might also reveal Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Watch 9, Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, and offer a preview of its Galaxy Glasses, according to Samsung News.
