BYD Pakistan Delivery Delays

Some BYD Pakistan customers say they have not received their vehicles even after waiting much longer than expected. Earlier, the company promoted a 30-day delivery promise for some bookings made under certain terms and conditions. However, several buyers now say they are still waiting for their cars. Many customers have shared their concerns on social media. They say the company accepted their bookings but did not give a clear delivery date later. Some buyers are also asking why new bookings are still being accepted when many existing orders have not been delivered.

One customer said they booked a BYD Atto 2 Pakistan vehicle at a BYD dealership in Lahore on April 13. At that time, the dealership said the car would be delivered in early or mid-June. In early June, reports of a possible price increase began to spread. The customer said the dealership asked buyers to pay the remaining amount quickly to avoid paying a higher price. Trusting the promised delivery date, the buyer made the full payment on June 4. As of July 6, the customer said they were still waiting for the vehicle.

Some customers also say it has been difficult to get updates. When they ask dealerships about their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), they are told to contact customer support. According to buyers, customer support often gives general replies instead of a clear delivery timeline.

30-Day Offer Had Special Conditions

The delivery concerns come only a few months after BYD Pakistan and Mega Motor Company (MMC) announced a campaign for the BYD Atto 3. The company said eligible customers could receive the vehicle within 30 days. This offer was only valid upon certain terms and conditions. The customers had to pay in full, and there were limited car options for this offer. This is why not all bookings benefited from the offer.

New Factory Could Improve Deliveries

BYD is building a new vehicle assembly plant near Gharo, Sindh. The company is investing around $150 million in the project. The factory is expected to begin operations during the third or fourth quarter of 2026. It is planned to produce about 25,000 vehicles every year, supporting the country’s Pakistan Car Production 2026 goals. According to experts, the opening of the new plant will help improve the supply of vehicles in Pakistan. Local vehicle assembly is expected to reduce delivery times, increase the number of available vehicles, and lower costs for buyers.

Currently, BYD Pakistan is focusing on selling its CBU vehicles. This means that there may be delivery delays in case the shipment does not arrive as per schedule. The demand for BYD electric and hybrid vehicles in Pakistan is increasing. The industry experts believe that the assembly plant that BYD is establishing will help meet the rising demands in the future. Although some customers may accept to wait, delay in the process might impact customer confidence. There is no change in the schedule of the BYD new assembly plant that has been announced by BYD so far. According to the last official information, the project is going as per the plan.
