Spotify Audiobooks Arrive in Pakistan With 100,000+ English Titles
Audiobooks+ is the name of the service launched by Spotify. People will have yet another option to enjoy books without having to read them on paper. People can listen while traveling, walking, relaxing, or even while working. This comes under the plan of Spotify to launch audiobooks in over 180 markets across the globe by the end of 2026.
The Audiobooks+ plan will cost Rs489 per month and allow users to listen to audiobooks for up to 15 hours each month. Both Free and Premium users can access this plan. Only active listening time counts towards the monthly limit. Pausing a book or closing the app will not use any listening hours. Separately, PVARA Anti-Money Laundering Act is a related topic in Pakistan’s regulatory news coverage.
Listening hours reset automatically at the beginning of every new billing cycle. The users who listen to the entire 15 hours have the option to purchase additional 10 hours of listening time for Rs579. This is allowed at any point in time in the month. The users who don’t prefer monthly plan can opt for purchasing individual audiobooks.

Features Make Listening Easier
There have been some improvements that Spotify has introduced for convenience in the listening experience for audiobooks. Some of these include the automatic bookmark function. This saves the location where the user left off so that when they resume listening they pick up from there.
Another tool is the sleep timer. The audiobook automatically stops playing after some time set by the user. This comes in handy for users who enjoy listening before bed. Spotify has also introduced Page Match which helps the user switch from their printed books or e-books to the audiobooks.
The user can download the audiobooks and listen offline. Spotify maintains the progress of the listener across all devices. The listener can start listening to an audiobook on the mobile device when they are out and continue with it at home on the speakers. The audio books service provided by Spotify makes use of the international book library of Spotify. The company claims that the extensive global library they have contains more than 350,000 books in 120 different languages. Additionally, they work with more than 300 publishers internationally, which include publishers like Planeta and Mondadori. However, Pakistani users at the moment have access to over 100,000 English language books.

How to Listen to Audiobooks on Spotify in Pakistan
Pakistan’s Spotify customers should start by updating the app to its newest version. They can go ahead and access the Audiobooks section where they will find the titles available. The customer will then subscribe to Audiobooks+ or purchase the selected book individually.
This launch will provide the people of Pakistan with a brand-new way to listen to books using their smartphones and other compatible gadgets. Currently, the content offered is in English only. If the number of local language books increases in the future, the service will be even more useful for a wider audience.
