The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched version 5.6.8 of its Pak ID mobile application, which includes the addition of new digital services for owners of vehicles. In the new update, NADRA has added vehicle registration and ownership services for residents of Balochistan. This update has been introduced in collaboration with the Government of Balochistan and is aimed at easing some verification processes. Now citizens do not have to visit any government offices for their vehicle-related work.

NADRA Pak ID App Lets You Buy and Sell Cars from Home
The latest NADRA Pak ID App update mainly focuses on vehicle ownership services for users in Balochistan. Vehicle owners can now access their digital vehicle registration cards directly through the app. Buyers and sellers can also complete remote biometric verification during vehicle transactions without visiting government offices.

In addition to version 5.6.8, another new version of the Pak ID app, version 5.6.6, has been released that brings some more digital services. These include facilities for the civil registration process in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). These services will help individuals to register some major life events such as birth, death, marriage, and divorce on the digital platform. NADRA first launched the service in the village and neighborhood councils of Peshawar. It will gradually expand the service to other areas of the province. Version 5.6.6 also introduced the View Card feature.
Vehicle Transfer Process Through Pak ID App
NADRA has also introduced a biometric verification system for vehicles registered in Punjab. Vehicle owners can now use the Pak ID app to transfer vehicle ownership when buying or selling a car. Sellers should open the app and select Apply Digital Cards. Next, tap Vehicle and choose the vehicle to transfer. Finally, tap Transfer Now to begin the ownership transfer process. Facial verification is completed using the mobile phone camera, followed by fingerprint verification. These digital services work alongside NADRA CNIC Online Verification to make identity verification and other public services easier for citizens across Pakistan.

Buyer Verification and Payment Steps
Once the verification of the seller is completed, the CNIC number of the buyer is added to the application details section. After this, the seller sends in his application and gets a Tracking ID and PIN ID. These two IDs are provided to the buyer who will use the Pak ID app to complete his biometric verification. Users can pay the transfer fee through e-Sahulat, Raast, EasyPaisa, JazzCash, or debit and credit cards.
