Pakistan is making a new plan to improve 5G Coverage Area so mobile networks can work better, especially in faraway and weak-signal areas. The Ministry of Information Technology has sent a draft of this policy to the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) for review.

The policy will allow mobile companies to share one tower and provide service together. This will lower costs and make it easier to reach areas that currently have weak or no mobile coverage.

This comes after Pakistan’s 5G spectrum auction, which raised the total spectrum from 274 MHz to 750 MHz. The extra spectrum lets companies give better service, but new rules are needed for sharing it.

If the policy works well, it could help students in villages attend online classes, let small businesses reach more customers, and allow people in far-off areas to stay connected with family and friends.

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) is checking the new spectrum bands before the policy is officially put into action. Experts say the policy will succeed only if telecom companies really cooperate and don’t just follow the rules on paper.

Officials say this policy is part of the government’s plan to make mobile networks stronger and more reliable across Pakistan. The aim is to make signals stronger and reduce network issues, especially in areas with weak coverage. Once the policy is approved, more people living in remote and far-off areas will be able to use better mobile services.
